Hey that spot is perfect for testing tires out. Its a nice climb for short wheel base jeeps. I know my mtrs and the ones on my buddy's tj had to get warm in order to get some traction there.

It tends to happen a lot with leafs lol. I recently played around with my leafspring packs and got a lot more flex and hang time got reduce by half.

I'm still rocking the stock diff cover too lol. I'm to cheap to spend any actual money on the d30 although it's held up to the 35s and locker for a very long time with the stock axles ;)

Have you replaced the slave and master cylinders? My jeep would grind from 2-3 when I got I it. Replaced the master and slave cykinder and it went away.
