I got the jeep with a blown motor for $200 a year and a half ago, I bought a motor for another $500 around the same time. Yesterday I finally got to swapping the motors.

Turns out I tore the crankshaft position sensor off, I re wired it and it fired up! Thanks for the help.

99 2.5L harness plug identification 3 mysterious connections! No fuel no start!

The long and short of it is, I grabbed my 99 wrangler 4cyl 5 speed for 200 bucks!! Guys wife managed to toss a rod through the oil pan haha

fast forward, I buy a 97 4cyl engine for 500 and both...

second, I have better power with 33s and 3:73 than I did with 28's and 3:07

The 3:73 arent worthless if you can get...

I came from a stock 1997 4.0 3:07 Auto TJ sport...what speedo gear did mine come with stock? I don't want to buy a 31 tooth if I already have...

Thanks guys, I went with hp Dana b/c it's a bolt in with ok tolerance and it matched the 3:73 8.8 I already had, then I got 32's so I can keep decent mpg's and that's a better match for my 3:73...

So I was told to take my jeep out wheelin before my lift and rims/tires upgrade.

and I did, just to get a feel for the stock capabilities. I took some shots. The only upgrades now, are a 29" BFG A/T's

I have waiting to go on, an HP Dana 30 (3:73), a ford 8.8, LSD (3:73), a 2"...

So I have got the 8.8 and HP 30 in my posession finally and both are geared to 3:73 for my future 33's. Would you guys run a 1 inch wider offset in the rear to make up for the 8.8 being 5/8 shorter...
