As others have said, PH16 is the correct thread...

As others have said, PH16 is the correct thread and gasket size for a 4.0. Did yours say PH-16 on the filter itself, or just the box? I'm wondering if you got one that was boxed wrong.

If you're talking about the plastic air-dam behind/under the stock bumper, don't worry about it. It gives you maybe 0.5mpg on the highway, and will rip off the first time you back up in mud/snow.
