It is possible that it could be the O2 sensor. But I doubt that it will cause a miss at a certain RPM.

I would lean more toward the cam sensor or possibly the vacuum advance on the distributor....

You cant remove the FPR if it has an aftermarket electric fuel pump. The electric pump generates too much pressure for a carb system. An inline filter is a good idea between the FPR and the carb....
