I'd rather see a snorkel on a Jeep than a CAI. I would never run one because of the trails I like to take. One trip and a snorkel would fall victim to a tree.

I think the jerk you're referring to when you let off of the pedal is probably normal driveline slack. All manuals I've ever owned do that when you let off of the gas.

Good work. I can't believe the tub wasn't damaged. Talk about lucky. Most jeeps I see hit like that wrinkle the tub right behind the fenders.

I don't ever recommend anyone weld a diff but if you do you have to keep it warm and let it cool slowly. If not the carrier will dissipate heat quickly and the welds will crack.
