Quick u-joint question

When changing an axle u joint on a d30 whats the easiest way, take off the hub nut and pull the shaft out that way or remove it all in one piece taking off the 12 point bolts from the knuckle.

They are scratched up from wheeling that doesn't bother me, believe me I'm not the keep it pristine type of guy however I'd like to avoid a big ugly corrosion mark if I can.

I've seen a lot of threads on here over the years about painting rims. A lot of people use rustoleum bed liner and it seems to hold up well as long as you prep it correctly. Do a search I'm sure...

There should be no reason to start cutting, the problem has to lie elsewhere. If you start cutting things your going to end up screwing yourself when you do find the real problem.

Well I ended up just putting In a new steering...

Well I ended up just putting In a new steering stabilizer tonight, not enough daylight to do the diff. Anyone else see a problem with mixing those two valvolines?
