The +12V auxiliary power outlet closest to the driver is keyed, I used it for my seat heaters, they only work with the key in the ignition. The one on the passenger side is constant from the battery.

So my rear diff decided to eat itself for dinner last night. I was able to limp home in 4x4. My next plan of action was to remove the rear driveshaft but it's turning out to be a more tedious project...

I agree with this. The AEV reflash can turn your fogs into DRLs. Most modern cars turn off the DRL when the turn signal is activated so this makes sense.
