I'd go with the 4.0 six over the 2.4 4 cyl any day. If both had the 4.0, I'd determine which ignition system the '99 had, the distributor or the distributorless. The distributor isn't that big a...

My '01 Sport came with the 4.0 engine, the 32rh auto, and 3.73 gears. I'm running 33" tires, without any driveability issues, onroad or off, with a 4" lift. I will probably, eventually, regear to...

It's true, you're better off running the stock paper filter than a K&N, at least on a Jeep. With my CJ5, I used to run a mobile pit for desert racing out in Nevada, and I used a K&N along with a K&N...

I get an average of 14 mpg on my '01 TJ, with an auto trans, 4" lift, 33" tires, and geared with 3.73s. When my wife drives it, she averages 9 mpg. When she used to drive our '00 TJ, I noticed she...
