I used a skew driver on my drill (gives you a 90 degree angle) and held the plastic clips with small vice grip pliers. Didn't take long at all but I've done it a few times before.

Yep and there should be a plastic end cap on it where it contacts. Just put a little grease on that. Make sure you don't hit the clutch pedal while the slave cylinder is out.

On my 95 4.0, it's the one at the rear of the head. It's a tiny sending unit. The one at the front is for the ECM I believe.

The dash below the steering wheel sticks out a lot further in the TJ. My knees would sit against the dash when I drove my buddy's old TJ. Makes for an uncomfortable ride when trying to shift gears.

You could beat a socket over the locks and take them off and throw them away or go to a tire/rim shop (with the jeep) and they can usually match it and sell you a new one. Might cost you $5-$10..
