I currently have a 8.8 rear end with a 4" rough country lift. An sye with tom woods d.s. if I go to spring over with stock springs will I need a different length drive shaft??

I personally don't worry about mileage that much. U should take the cover off and look at the gears and make sure none are broken or chipped.

Thanks for your reply I can't do that because its the super short sye so it just has a tone ring and no spot for the speedo gear. Oh well I guess I either buy a speedo or keep using my phone gps

Climb under and remove the linkage to the shifter. Then manually put in in 4wd. If it stays in then ur linkage is out of adjustment
