You'd need to get a single-din aftermarket (Pioneer, Alpine etc) or replace your dash with an 03-06 so you can use the RB1 or one of the aftermarkets.

I've had this issue too, but all of that cleaning effort sounds fairly detrimental to a leather steering wheel... I'd just as soon buy a new one if I could find one.

I had a couple of issues prior to the last software update where sometimes upon powering up it wouldn't ever hit wifi or a cell tower, but haven't had that issue after the update.

Yes, the gasket is part of the housing with H4s. I certainly wouldn't recommend going back to stock, but I would recommend replacing the KCs with a glass e-code housing such as Hella, IPF, or Bosch....
