If you are going to hold off upgrading the suspension later besides shocks, I would recommend going ahead adding a 1.25" body lift with the shocks upgrade just for piece of mind and extra clearance....

You really need more than a meager 2" lift for 33's. I recommend upgrading a complete lift kit that would include new springs. Just replacing new shocks with old springs might yield the same results....
