How far do you drive with the kayak? That looks like a lot of overhang for a long drive. And it looks like the span on the unlimited would be less. Not sure my 9' Longboard would handle a 2-3 hour...

The Jeep brand is safe, even if Fiat went under another company will pick them up and continue to profit. A delay of 4-8 months for the next Wrangler intro does not concern me.

It will be introduced as a 2018 model. It shouldn't be to big of a surprise. The tub will remain steel, the hood and doors will most likely be aluminum.
