Here's a side pic of the mount location on my tow...

Here's a side pic of the mount location on my tow hitch, and how the bolts only go up into the frame, it even shows how the stock bumper tab is sandwinched between the hitch and frame.

I really like this rear bumper/tire carrier for the TJ, but I use my TJ to tow a pop-up camper. I see the tow hitch isn't rated. I'm wondering if the tow hitch that I have will work with the bumper....

Yea, I've seen tires sticking out pretty far on pick-ups down here too. But no jeeps with the flares removed. My 33" tires already stick out a few inches with 3.65" of backspacing on the wheels. Cops...

Keep in mind that, the tire size that is stated on a tire doesn't always mean that's what the actual measurement is. You could go with BFG, or Good year tires in a 31x10.50x15 because they run small....

If you're going to stay with 31s and never ever consider going to 33s, then 4.5 would be ok but if you'll think you'll go to 32s or 33s, you might want to consider less backspacing. I have 3.65"...
