You know that some techs do know their stuff about some parts of the vehicle and I would agree that there are some things that are best left to the tech because some repairs may take special tools....

It'll only work on the 430 radio if the Uconnect module is installed in the vehicle. The OP would need to add the MOPAR kit PN 82212159 and the optional USB cable PN 82212160 then install the kit....

You're correct. With aftermarket radios, they use a different style of mic than the Uconnect system. The aftermarket radios don't use a 12 v powered mic and Uconnect's mic is a 12v powered mic....

The vehicle may be listed as a "2013" however the 20.xx radio SW version is not from 2013. In 2013, the SW version would be the 44.xx, 2012 was 33.xx which is when the security code feature started....
