A good friend and my off road club president has a 5.7L in his with a 700R4 auto behind it and he doesn't get good mileage with it...

No, they aren't the same. I went through 6 different sets of bushings before I found the correct ones to fit. Each manufacturer has their own size of eyelet in the end of the springs it seems.

Its a simple process with just basic hand tools....

Its a simple process with just basic hand tools. Just do 1 side at a time. I used a floor jack and a block of wood on the oil pan to lift the motor.
