Every body shop I worked at, we never disconnected the battery to weld. I've never done it myself either. Wouldnt hurt to do it though.

Yes, as long as the wheel is aftermarket with proper offset/backspace, or will need spacers for the stock wheels. Otherwise they'll rub when turning.

The holster is one of the cheapie nylon ones. It has the belt loop on both sides and is double loop, for lack of better terminology. The mount goes through the vertical loop.
