mine were really stiff, especially poor for street and highway. OK for light trail but lost feel (too stiff) for crawling. If you're doing just 2.5" and it's your DD, go Old Man Emu.

Thermostat doesn't take temp readings, it only modulates the coolant flow to the radiator. There is a separate temperature sensor that fulfills that function.

x2 and check all your u-joints and u-joint straps. I learned the hard way but I then upgraded to the u-bolt style straps for the u-joints and my d-shaft was not damaged.
