Sorry I think I might have made a confusing post. I'm in the UK and the JK has had a Diesel engine here since they were released. 2.8L CRD Turbo. My friend has a 2010 JKU and it works really well...

TJ's are great at a hundred things, but they suck at towing. Short wheelbase and fairly light is not a good combination. Mine felt a bit sketchy towing a trailer with two dirtbikes on it!
