My ACE rails work good as a slider/step combo. It is a round step and not the best with wet or muddy feet. The price was right and the strenght/quality is great.

You could add some spacers now just to pick it up. If you have the money and planned on lifting it I would just do the lift. I had to add 3/4" spacers to my lift in the front for added weight.
