35's will fit on a 2" with fender trimming. 3" you should be able to clear 37 with trimming.

I run the rancho 2" sport with trimmed fenders and 35's with no issues and yes I wheel it.

What shocks do you have now?

Rancho rs9000xl, rs7000 and Bilstein are good shocks. The 7000's and Bilstein's are gas monotubes and run stiffer. The 9000's are adjustable which is nice.

The first thing you should do is remove the bump stop extensions. They should be bolted on. Then replace the bump stop pad. Then if the issue is resolved you won't need new springs.

Looking at the pictures the j8 is based off the 4 door frame and has rear leaf spring design. So being that they changed the rear suspension who know what they changed on the frame.

You can find it at any auto parts store. It's called anti-seize and permatex makes it. Other companies make it too, so if you can't find the permatex brand don't worry.
