C'mon Jerry, you're my age (I think). I can't believe you didn't drive Jeeps and other convertibles without roll-bars like I did.

Yes, I know it's safer, and when you do the kind of wheeling you...

It's a wonder I lived through driving CJs with just a hoop in the back; Broncos and Scouts and an untold number of convertible sports cars with no roll bars of any sort; bicycles without helmets. ...

Do you ever take your sport bar extenders off?

When I take my top off, I can't stand seeing anything over my head. I always take the tubes extending from the sports bar to the windshield off. Who else does this?

Had to share a pic of my son...

Yeah but... JKs are profitable, good for JEEP/Chrysler! Rather see JKs on the road than BS Crossovers!

BTW, I'm glad I have A/C... Even with my top and doors off, if I'm stuck moving slow in the...

Been running them for 2 years, I like them. Ride well for a linear spring, a true 3" of lift, haven't sagged at all and front hardly dropped with heavy bumper and winch. These are slightly larger...

Head-units are so cheap now with digital media, my money is tied-up in the amps and speakers. Nonetheless, I do remove the face-plate to my Kenwood and lock it in the console. Not a big deterrent,...

I can do it, but it's a PITA for a full kit and will take you all day at least for the first time. I found a guy on CL with lots of local references who installed mine for $250. Any more than that, I...

Nice. BTW, I have a Terraflex 3" lift, with JKS adjustable track bar. Rides well, works well. I forgot to measure before and after, but it's definitely a true 3" or more lift. I did add 1/2"...

You say you won't be doing any serious off-roading... That being the case, I would not consider larger tires than 33s or a higher lift than 3", which will be fine for a daily driver. Go beyond...

Depends on your driving whether you will need a 3 or 4 inch lift for 33s.

Looks to me like you already have (low-profile street) tires at least 33" in diameter, so if you have no issues currently...

Very true. I bought my 18" wheels over 15" Black Rock Vipers primarily because they were on close-out sale. Any savings were lost on my tires!

Still, I'm happy with my decision and eventually,...

As someone Jeeping since the 70s who remembers when 15" wheels were the largest available; tires were sized with letters such as L-60-15, I do see 15" wheels and tires being phased out, but it will...
