Is the starter still clicking ? You should probably check the solenoid, make sure your rig is out of gear and jump the posts on it and your starter should turn then with some helpyou can check for...

If it clicks (your starter) when you turn the key that means your ignition switch works . Had the same symptoms on my D-max and come to find out the ring terminal connected to my battery for my fog...

if you jump th e starter and it sparks but doesnt turn then the starter is probabaly bad but i would not rule out an under voltage condition, i would take apart all the battery and starter...

make sure all your connections are tight and...

make sure all your connections are tight and shiny when you replace your battery, scuff up the inside of your terminals with wire brush or corse (80grit or so ) sand paper and do same to battery...
