730N to 430N

The 730N has Uconnect integrated into the head unit. The 430N does not. If you have Uconnect now with the 430N that separate module would need to be pulled.

I've had both 730N and 430N and both...

Hmmmmmm

I don't wish to hijack the thread but I will respond to the above. It's amazing how everything WE don't do is unsafe. How can anyone carry a GUN and hunt, after all guns kill people. How can anyone...

MANUAL vs AUTO

I've owned both automatic and stick (this is my 6th Jeep). I now SPECIFICALLY insist on a manual. My Jeep is also my DD. During my commute I drive through a canyon and I coast just over 100 miles...

Simple way to tell D30 or D44 in front

Simply look at the diff cover on the rear D44 axle. Compare it with the diff cover on the front axle.

If the covers are not the same the diffs will not be the same.

Off road help

In regard to the Jeep wave. In a recent trip to Death Valley I learned there is a difference between "Jeep Owners" and people who "just happen to be driving a Jeep." I tried to borrow, rent, or even...

Music management

I've heard stories of others not being able to play some of their purchased music as well. If I've paid for something I believe that I should be able to access it! That coupled with my iTunes getting...

MPG drop in a slight incline

Even "slight" upgrades will send the MPG south. As long as you are level the MPG is actually pretty good with some finesse. However, that is negated at even a modest incline. A "real time" indicator...

Winch capacity

Many say a good rule of thumb is for the winch capacity to be around one and one half times the vehicles weight. That being said there are different "pulls" required for different situations. For...

430 Head unit

A couple of thing to keep in mind with the 430N unit.

The USB connection on the front of the radio is for uploading data into the unit and NOT for controlling an ipod (however this port can be...

The fuel tank on both the JK and the JKU occupies the passenger side area between the drive line and the frame. It begins just after the transfer case and stops just prior to the rear axle. Since the...

430N & 730N waypoints

I'm not sure there is enough interest out there to justify doing a "sticky" or not. Note that adding custom waypoints will only work on the 430N.

I liked the 730N that was in my 2011 Sport KJU...
