1993 2.5L interchange info needed?

I have a 93 YJ with a 2.5L manual tranny. What years are a direct bolt-in swap?
Not interested in a 4.0, SBC, V-6 or any other engine, well, maybe a diesel.
But right now I'm just interested in...

Dirtworx Vs Nates 4X4 Rear Bumpers

Down to two. Would love to hear from off-roaders who have installed and used these two bumpers. I currently have a Trail Gear bumper/tire carrier and it's junk. I'm looking for a bumper that doesn't...

If you have one, it's time to bust out the multimeter. Start checking everything under the hood for voltage with the key in the run position. Paying close attention to the coil. You say it cranks,...

Check, check and check again

Not a germaphobe

A little dirt never hurt anyone. I too clean mine when I need to work on it. I need mine to be functional, not shiny.

It's the law!

Not trying to be a party pooper. But check your state and local laws. Most require doors, mirrors(at least the left side)and windshields. I run without mine a lot and I know it's against the law in...

Mods, the list is long but distinguished.

If you have stock gears, you may want to consider 4.56:1 gears or better. Also, on the list, lockers. ARBs, E Lockers or OX lockers. I prefer the selectable style lockers. Especially for daily...

The obvious solution is to replace the hanger. Parts are available. I fixed mine by welding thick washers on the insides of the hanger and spreading them apart to get the spring back in. I'm guessing...

How High

That's the real question, How high do you want to go? What size tires are you trying to clear? I think body lifts suck, but that's just me. Stock YJ springs are flat from the factory. I wouldn't...

If you build it, it will pull

I bought a Hanson Offroad 8274 winch mount and a Smittybilt SRC bumper. Added about 2.5" of plate to finish. Started in a totally different direction. A flat piece of 1/4" sheet between the frame...

The Swap

I started with the same kit. Huge mistake. Cheaper to go buy perches and do it yourself. I went from the D35 to the Ford 8.8. Since I had to cut and weld the RRO rear perches to get any kind of...

Hi Guys,
Recent update to the YJ. Finally got the 8.8 in it. Well worth the time, trouble and money. Also updated the traction bar. Went from 2 heim joints to 1 bushing and 1 heim joint.
