BTW, if anybody has never pulled their cowl panel, I highly recommend having a look.
You will be amazed how much crap builds up under there!

I installed a genuine mopar one years back....

I installed a genuine mopar one years back. Instructions said to use front hole. The cord that is attached, will just stick out of the hood, after it is safely routed away from the pulleys, etc.

I'd go for it as well. In fact, I'd pick up the fuel pump before dropping the tank, to make sure I have every thing that is needed. I hope your already pre-soaking all of your fasteners!

Good luck in your search. Not saying it's not possible, but thats why I held out for a dual top model. Factory hardtops will just get rarer as the the years go bye.
