You are correct I haven't researched it extensively for the 3"-4" stretch. I have researched about every mechanical linkage steering for stock or my 1 1/2" stretch location and haven't run across one...

Steering for 3"-4" front stretch

What is the best steering to go with for a 3"-4" front wheel base stretch. 2000 TJ with HP D30 and 5" lift with 35" tires and long arms.

Well I broke down and bought a 3rd jeep. I now have 2015 Jk, 2001 TJ and 1989 YJ. Needles to say I am jeep poor.

I have the BDS 2" with 1" shackles and tube...

I have the BDS 2" with 1" shackles and tube fenders and I run 33x10.50x15 tires and they only rub at full flex. The 2" would easily clear 31" tires with no problems. BDS has a lifetime no questions...

Think I found the problem the pitman arm is...

Think I found the problem the pitman arm is loose. I'll remove it Sunday and make sure the splines aren't damaged and reinstall and see I that corrects the dead spot.

I didn't think about the joint in the steering shaft I'll check it to when I get home. I'm not set on high steer. If I can fix the stock steering ill wheel it like that until I break it.

Well with all that said I for sure don't want anything that will have a dead spot because that is what I am trying to get rid of now. With the 5" lift and stock steering I have about 2"s of dead spot...
