yes it can be coded to the original key, you need to buy a lock cylinder with a black plastic cover over the key opening. i think that lock cylinder is for a 95 to about 99 year model

it does not come with a wire, inside the stem sticking out of the cam there is a spring and a small aluminium pin and a retainer that holds it all together

start at the pinch bolt at the intermediate...

start at the pinch bolt at the intermediate shaft, make sure it is tight. noises telescope up to the top of the column
