They are in fact the stock Rubicon mud terrain tires - the mud just packed in so tight you can not tell. I will try to post up a pic later of the tires after I got out.

Update...

Evidently they have to replace the planetary gear. Hopefully I just ended up with one that had a manufacturing defect and a new one solves the problem.

This time they dug a bit deeper and evidently discovered that the teeth in the transfer case are missing.

Evidently Chrysler told them to strip it down and send in detailed digital pics of everything. Fortunately they gave me a nice Charger as a rental in the meantime.
