Actually that lock ring is pretty heavy duty, it was probably damaged by using the wrong tool to disassemble. Check morris 4x4 as they have a lot of small parts like such for sale.

I bought a used shaft from the off-road parts...

I bought a used shaft from the off-road parts store on eBay. The shaft was $42. Oil about $8 and the RTV about $6. I did the work myself which is pretty simple and cost effective.
