A little mud certainly won't kill it. Just stay out of deep holes & avoid submerging it. I'm not the biggest fan of mud, but ain't no stranger from time to time.

Not a bad find. Keep thinking about getting one myself. How much did the powder coating run you? Many of the racks I see on CL are very much rusted.

Pends on where you drill, but I would suggest the far left & right of your front bumper. There's room up there, not too sure about the rear, but wouldn't want it to interfere with the gate.

I'm going to vote against. A part here & there is one thing, but the entire Jeep is another. It might look good at 1st, but I imagine it'll start to look like crap down the road.

I'd go Spicer for replacements. Vice method works for one in a pinch, but you can also just rent the tool (basically free on return) from any auto supply store.
