Noise when accelerating at highway speeds

I'm having a pretty annoying problem when accelerating at around 55-65 on the highway I start to hear a high pitched whirring noise, only when hitting the gas. When I let go of the gas, it goes away....

Nah, it has nothing to do with the temperature. Anytime any air is flowing the ticking begins. It sounds like when kids used to put baseball cards in their bike wheels.
