When they installed the stereo they may have pulled the antenna plug out. My wrangler's antenna wire went as far as half way past the glovebox. Then an extension wire went from there to my stereo....

In that case the frame would be your biggest possible failure point cost wise. Check the frame out as best as possible. If a lift is near by that you can use, put it up and check it out.

Cut the starter wire under the dash then run the wires to a place you can hide a switch. Install switch. Done. Can't be started easily without the switch on.

Here it is. It is not as thick as Dynomat is, but it works perfectly for what I was looking for. Like I said before, its a lot cheaper then the other stuff.

Sounds like you have a dead short. Trace the wires back to the pump, mine were chafed right over frame rail behind the driver side wheel.
