Looks like your Jeep fared much better than some of the crash test results I've seen. I guess the El Camino served as a crumple zone for yours, compared to the solid immovable wall of the tests.

Correct me if I am wrong, but that Jeep needs a lot more supporting mods to safely use 38s, even on the street. Sleeves/gussets/shafts for the front axle at least, and gears would be a good idea.

Yep. I think redline in 3rd gear is around 110. Theoretical top speed is 200+ in 6th, although it is probably drag limited to 100.

It has been fine for me around town and even some of the hillier highways with the stock 32s, I just downshift if I need more torque. It just feels weird to accelerate up to highway speed (70mph)...
