Sorry but with a stock D35 and a 4.6 or 4.7 Stroker and big tires You will Trash the D35, it has more TQ at low RPMs that most stock small blocks.

Just me but the 4.7 = 279 CID should have all the power you can need in a YJ, 265+ hp and about 300 ft. lbs. at the rear wheels, at Low to Mid RPM where you need it for a jeep. I know a Chevy 502"...

May we see a pic of this line? there's a lot of lines in the area of the gas tank, fuel, return, vent, Dif. Vent, Brake line, a lot of electric lines, just to name most, help use out here.

Yes on some engines the restricted intake will make it worse with a K&N, be cause of the oil in it, you get much cleaner air, but that's why some go to Cold Air Intake, to get better flow and better...

I'm working on about the same thing [4.7 stroked], but I don't want EFI and all the wire and junk, so i'm going with a Clifford 4Brl. intake and a 390 CFM Holley and HEI GM style Dizzy.
