FWIW, I found a used D30/44 set (geared how I wanted) from a TJ 6 years...

Cleaner for sticky shifter?

My shifter knob is kinda sticky and I'm hesitant to use a solvent to clean it, cuz I don't want to break down the plastic.

Been following this. I'm still a believer in the relocation brackets, since the mirrors stay in place, with or without doors. No muss, no fuss. $25 on eBay. Just my 2cents. :)

Don't write off the relocation brackets.
I had the cheapo mirrors for a while but they vibrated so bad they were useless. Plus, I had to get out tools to remove them to put the half doors back on....

Replaced rear seat with Bestop Trailmax seat with headrests

I did this primarily to provide head support, so my son is safer in a rear end collision.
Seat came in 2 days for $275 from Amazon. Wow!
The hardest part was getting the bolts out of the brackets....
