I have a similar problem. However, in mine the gears are grinding when I shift into 2nd and 3rd. It does it on any RPM's over 2500 but only in those two gears. Any ideas?

Thanks. I didn't think of that before but when I was idling it was hanging around 40 but as soon as I give it gas it shoots up to 80 no matter how fast I go or what RPM's I am running at.
