FWIW, a lot of the comp buggies are running a similar wheelbase to that of the JK Unlimited. On a positive note, a lot more are starting to wave! :)

If I had the money for a D44, I would most definitely opt for it over the 8.8. If you plan to only run 35s, a D44 is more than sufficient, and you won't be dragging around your terrain like an 8.8...

With him being outboarded, I doubt he even used 3" lift shocks. One thing to note, you can't precisely base your shocks on suggested "lift height." Get your full droop/bump stats and buy them off...

Control arms, antirock, body lift, sliders... SYE/DC. That's all I can think of. Between all of those listed, I'd say a replacement top. if your current top is a pain, a new one is the best thing...
