Worst comes to worst, you can remove the rear drive shaft and drive in 4 wheel drive utilizing only the front. I've done this a few times, no ill effects. Just go slow on hard turns as the ujoints...

If you experience a loud ticking when you start it back up after the install that means the rail isn't flush. Unscrew and reseat it, make sure it's all snug and straight, then retighten.
