don't waste your time, grind it off. As for the torx side, torch it for a long time and PB blast it. That surprisingly worked for me, I really didn't think it would. And get some grade 8 hardware...

Are you opposed to a new lift entirely? Shocks I believe make the difference in ride, coils really make the difference in flex and height. Could be wrong though...

I understand why it's done, but is all that work really necessary is the question now....
