its worth what anyone will pay for a jeep that's in great shape and with lots of goodies. I would say find out what is lowest they will take and if they don't move then I would just go with your gut....

spray starting fluid in the throttle body then crank it over. If it runs then the fuel injectors aren't working. If you have fuel pressure at the rail then the injectors aren't opening up.

I have a buddy who has a 95 4 banger jeep with 170,000 plus miles on it and all original. Not any issues except for a clutch job over the years.

lol yes that's what I thought. I actually have met parents who have put speed governors on there kids vehicles and set them at really slow speeds to the point of not safe for the interstate.

oh ok. I was going on the thought that it was a stock jeep. Thought that maybe someone set up a governor on it. I've heard of controlling parents putting on governors on there kids vehicles.

getting a new engine swapped out isn't a big deal at all. But making money off a jeep that you have put money in to is the bigger question. Very hard to "flip" a jeep in that way.

is it not possible to just fix the valve only? Without doing any machine work? I think you could just replace the bad valve and valve seal. Do a band aid job on the engine until you can afford to do...
