I'm not that way, tracing a faulty injector is relatively simple to me (unplug one by one until the engine doesn't run different ;) ).

I just prefer the simplicity of FI, especially since I roam...

Why go carb? Get rid of that old school junk and get it fuel injected!! It's a bit pricier, but the reliability AND not stalling when on steep inclines on the trail...

Fuel Economy will be improved depending on how bad it runs with the carb. Most guys I talk to see 14-15mpg over 8-10mpg.
