5.9 into a TJ

I've been having problems with my 4.0 for the past 6 months. Bad sputtering, piston slap, limp mode on cold days....the list goes on. I've always wanted to throw a V8 into my jeep and the timing...

On a non related note...I want either less or more cylinders...either a v8 or a 4bt. A buddy just did a v8 into his tj, so I know he can help if needed. Also, my future brother in law has done dozens...

Drive shaft wobbling BAD

So question for anyone in the know; could an unbalanced driveshaft destroy/wear down the splines on said driveshaft? I'm having extremely bad luck (4 driveshafts now) that all became loose and wobble...

Yeah I looked around a bunch to see who would dare to do it. After having a set of 37"s wear out the inside of he tire tread, I'm not messing around with it. Plus I wanted my rear axle all squared up...

Got my jeep a 4 wheel alignment. Guy had a hell of a time figuring it out. Took a total of 4 hours to get it done. Outboarding my rear shocks now, then coilovers shortly.

Nope. Haven't had any on for a while. I'm going to get an antirock for the rear in a while. I have sway bar mounts that I need to weld on for the front.

Your observation was correct. The Artec site advises a body lift for this exact reason. Luckily there are other mounting positions for the upper links at the frame. I will lose some vertical...

Got the upper links tacked today and fooled...

Got the upper links tacked today and fooled around with what height I want it to sit at. Decided on 3-4". Rear shocks and coilovers are the next steps.
