I don't know whether or not a CAI is good or bad. But a K&N filter lets a lot of dirt through as previously mentioned. I have a CAI on both my Jeeps but no K&N filters.

The responses so far have been correct. Amsoil Syncromesh is the most commonly used manual fluid where I am, but the RP is not the cause. You need to find a new "Jeep Guy" and "Trans Guy".

There is nothing wrong with using a CAI. I have one on my JKU and XJ. Just don't buy a K&N. K&N air filters pass a lot of dirt.
