When the batteries in these Jeeps start to go bad it causes all kinds of electrical problems. My guess is it is the original battery and it is starting to go bad.

Pull the panels and lube up all the seals. Also try playing with the tightness (is that a word?) of the big screws that go into the panels. If too tight mine creak, if too loose they rattel.

I have used the washers and recently bought the blocks off of ebay. I like the blocks a lot more. Easy install and just did a 1000 mile trip with no complaints about the back seat.

Yea only took me 3 hours on my back in the driveway. For a shop on a lift with all the correct tools this is a one hour job, 1.5 at the most. Anything longer they have no idea how to work on a Jeep.

I make it a habit of helping owners who are riding around with their windows flapping in the breeze. Even had one lady tell me the dealer who sold her the jeep said she need to purchase new windows....
