All I did was go to Walmart and bought a bike brake cable and semi followed the instructions here.

Don't buy the dealer cable. Cost $45 and up.

Finally fixed the cable in the seat to tumble is forward. Took longer to pull the seat than replace the cable. Best $6.50 I spent on my TJ yet

Hope you did not torch it?? The PO of my jeep did that and screwed up the paint. Plus the PB Blast you have been using is flammable.
Just pull the hinges. Much quicker.

Once you do get them off, use white lithium...

Once you do get them off, use white lithium grease on the pins and holes. Do that before you put the doors back on and you won't have this issue.

Had the same issue. Doors did not come off. Tried lifting them, tried pb blaster, tried the jack with wood and would not come off. Ended up taking the hinges off and beating them with a rubber...

when kids ask if they can drive "the jeep" I say ok take the cherokee of course they are disappointed cause I wont let them drive "the real Jeep" which is a TJ.

Seriously, I have A/C don't use it. If it is real Hot out then I will grab the bikini top incase my hat flys off while driving. The bikini top is good for if you can go and doing slow offroading.
