Ball Joints - tough install?

Had the Jeep in the shop to replace the rear axle seal (under warranty from the rear diff job) and they said something I have kind of been expecting. Need new front ball joints upper and lower.

Sounds like a synchronizer. I have a similar issue. If you feel it stopping in 1st then throw it in neutral and try again will it work? If so it's a synchronizer. Changing the oil in mine helped...

I would spray paint it with rustoleum bedliner paint (SUPER HARD and cheaper than roll on stuff) and re-deck with 2 x 12's. You'll probably spend less on wood that way and still have a nice looking...
