To get to the amp, you pull the side bezel and speaker. Only pull the center lower dash bezel and reinforcement plate to get to the inverter.

Factory location on my '13 and I imagine all inverter equipped JKs is under the steering column behind the removeable reinforcement plate that is just behind the lower dash bezel.

I can't speak to your examples above, but I will say that I ran a set of Ebay purchased "Brand X" wheel spacers on my '13 JKU with 35s with no problems at all. I agree that the wheel spacer issues...
