I need to replace both front fenders. Anyone have experience with the non omix-ada fenders from rock auto? I know they may not fit as well but I'm curious to know if it will be a real struggle or not

I had similar issues, but it was the steering shaft rather than the steering box. Well to be more precise it was the joints...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe you could also remove the carrier and axle shafts, as long as you leave the axle stubs in the unit bearings to hold those together.

its worth noting that the tapping of the starter is actually tapping the solenoid, which happens to be part of the starter on jeeps.

Regardless, the starter motor wouldn't cause the gauge issues...

Is the jeep sitting on an angle? With no axle in some fluid might leak out, but not a lot if its level unless the diff was over filled. That's normal and not indicative of a bad seal. Be careful...

My spider gears have some pitting and are showing signs of wear. Assuming that everything else in the differential isn't shot, I would rather replace them than replace the axle with an 8.8 or 44. So...
