Hey I have the opportunity to pick up a 360 amc for my yj. It's only got 20k on it. It has the 2.5l in it right now. Has anyone done this motor swap before? What all will I need in order to do it?

I have the 4 banger and have never had troubles...

I have the 4 banger and have never had troubles with it. It has plenty of torque to get you through pretty much everything.

I have a 4 banger in my 91 and have 35 nitto mud grapplers and hit 70 easy! there is definitely something more going on with that jeep!

I have a chance to pick up ARB air lockers for $200, it comes with everything. Only problem is it is on a 98 TJ, will they still go onto my 91 YJ?

That's not too bad price wise. My dad owns a mechanic shop so I have access to a lift and every tool known to man. Looks like I know what I'm gonna be looking at all day today :)

on road, off roading i can keep up with basically everyone around here. on road driving is bad though, no acceleration at all in 5th gear. 4th gear pulls pretty well though

are you adding racks of lights? also, i would upgrade the axles and possibly the gears depending on how big of tires you plan on running. should be a sweet build, definitely post pics!
